Mr Mac

Since getting rid of the Commodore 64, we have always had a mac about the house somewhere.  But my computer for the last several years has been a small Dell notebook.  The other day Geff went to use  my computer and the keys kept falling off and the t key had been replaced with the alt key, sorta glued on.  This is the type of thing that makes Geff crazy.  I learned to type in high school while he was learning how to spell so I do not need to see the T, I know where it is at............anyway Geff was disturbed by the mess my trusty little note book had become.  I could feel change on the horizon.

Last night he informed me that I was in luck, my new computer had arrived!  Oh boy.   So the evening was spent with him in the office taking my trusty little Dell away, and leaving me with this big new Mac this morning.  He did find a slew of tropical paradise pictures for the screen saver, I'm not sure but the screen looks a yard wide and is very bright.....but the key board is big and I can't seem to figure out the numbers and the delete.  But the keys do stay put and the T is in it's proper place.

Geff just sent me an e-mail informing me that Picassa does not make a Mac version.  But that we have a new photoshop program and iphoto is easy.

I'm wondering where he put my slow, clunky, dim, small, key missing Dell.

Change is harder than I thought.

I'm sorry, L, I have to side with your husband. I sympathize with having to change, but being a computer (and Mac) guy, I would have to say he has done you a good turn. The transition period will be itchy and scratchy, but once the healing happens, things should be much better for you. I laughed at your post - it sounds just like my wife and I!

Listen here, sister.
Your stuff is the best. THE BEST. My sister and I were just talking about this very VERY thing today. Her daughter was telling her that everything in her closet was the same, they were shopping and she told her mother she didnt need to buy ANOTHER black shirt.I shot back with, was it your style, was it something you felt comfortable wearing, ect. I dont think we get stuck, I think we develop a style, sure, it may morph a bit here and there, but its in us. Its what we love and look for..
Its our stuff! Its our look, as well as our people..our tribe, as you so eloquently put it last week.
No worries..Your stuff is deluxe and perfect. and your style is out of this world, today, tomorrow and the next 10 years, LADY!!!
